Who handles your data

What data I collect and why

When you contact me

If you fill in the contact form or reach me by email, phone or WhatsApp, I receive what you enter: your name, your winery's name, your email address, the service you are interested in and your message.

I use it to reply and, if you ask, to arrange a visit or prepare a proposal. The legal basis is responding to your request before any engagement (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). I do not use this data for newsletters or marketing.

Providing it is optional, but without a way to reach you I cannot reply.

While you browse

The site is hosted by Cloudflare. Like any web server, when you open a page it processes technical data such as your IP address, browser and the page requested. This is needed to show you the site and to protect it from attacks and automated traffic. The legal basis is the legitimate interest in keeping the site working and secure (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Visitor statistics

To see how many people read the site and which pages they open, I use Cloudflare Web Analytics. It uses no cookies, stores nothing on your device, does not track you across other sites and shows me only aggregate numbers.

Cookies and browser storage

This site uses no profiling, advertising or third-party cookies, which is why it does not ask for your consent with a banner.

• Language. If you choose Italian or English, the site remembers your choice in your browser's local storage so you find it again on your next visit. It stays on your device and you can clear it in your browser settings.
• Security. Cloudflare may set strictly necessary technical cookies to tell real visitors apart from automated traffic. They are not used to profile you.
• Typefaces. The site's fonts are served from this site, not from external services.

These tools are exempt from consent because they are strictly necessary (Art. 122 of the Italian Privacy Code and the Italian Data Protection Authority's guidelines of 10 June 2021).

Who receives the data

Your data is never sold or passed on for marketing. The following providers process it on my behalf, only to run the services below:

• Cloudflare, Inc., for hosting, security and visitor statistics.
• Formspree, Inc., which receives contact form messages and forwards them to my inbox.
• Google LLC, which provides my email.

The WhatsApp and LinkedIn links lead to external services: if you use them, those platforms' privacy policies apply.

Transfers outside the European Union

Some of these providers are based in the United States. Transfers rely on the safeguards set out in the GDPR (Art. 44 ff.): the EU-US Data Privacy Framework where the provider is certified, or the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.

How long I keep it

• Messages that do not lead to a collaboration are kept for up to 24 months, then deleted.
• If we start working together, I keep the data for the duration of the relationship and then for as long as tax and accounting rules require, usually 10 years.
• Technical browsing data stays in Cloudflare's systems only as long as needed for the security of the service.

Your rights

At any time you can ask to see the data I hold about you, correct it, delete it or restrict its use, object to its processing, and receive it in a readable format (Arts. 15–22 GDPR). Just write to [email protected]: I reply within one month.

If you believe your data is being handled improperly, you can lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (garanteprivacy.it) or the authority in your own country.

I make no automated decisions and do no profiling on the data collected.

Changes

If the way the site handles data changes, I will update this page and the date at the top.
